Heat Recovery
Systems

Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) — constant fresh, filtered air throughout the house that reuses up to 90% of the heat you've already paid for.

§ 04.1

What it does

Airtight modern homes need proper ventilation. MVHR delivers it — without throwing your heat out the window.

01

Recover Your Heat

Outgoing stale air pre-warms incoming fresh air through a heat exchanger — keeping up to 90% of the warmth indoors.

02

Fresh, Filtered Air

Continuous filtered ventilation removes cooking smells, CO₂ and pollen — a real difference for allergy sufferers.

03

Beat Condensation

Extract moisture at source in kitchens and bathrooms to stop damp, mould and streaming windows for good.

04

Unit Wiring

Clean electrical connection of the MVHR unit with its own protected circuit and isolation, sited for easy servicing.

05

Controls & Sensors

Humidity and CO₂ sensors, boost switches and smart controls wired in so the system responds to the house.

06

Commissioning

Airflows balanced and measured room by room, with a commissioning sheet for your BER and records.

§ 04.2

Installed

Units, ducting and controls. Swap these for Conor's own MVHR jobs.

§ 04.3

From plan to commissioning

Best fitted during a build or deep retrofit — and done right the first time.

01

Assess

We look at the house, its airtightness and layout to confirm MVHR is the right fit and size the unit.

02

First fix

Cabling and unit position set out alongside the ductwork before walls and ceilings close up.

03

Connect

Unit, controls and sensors wired to a dedicated circuit — tidy, isolated and accessible for servicing.

04

Balance & hand over

Airflows measured and balanced, controls demonstrated, and a commissioning record left with you.
